After how many years, the late President Ferdinand Marcos
had finally been buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani last November 18, 2016.
The burial was unexpected to
everyone but the Marcoses decided to close the burial from the pulic for
security purposes. The controversial issue had been talked around the new,
radio programs, newpapers, and in the internet.
Although the late President has
done a lot in our country, it is not reasonable that he was buried at the
Libingan ng mga Bayani because many suffered for what he has done. Most of them
had died while fighting for their freedom.
For me, I don’t find the
decision of hiding the burial of the late President Ferdinand Marcos to the
public reasonable, because it is unjust to those who suffered because of his
leadership. However, we also can’t blame others who were in-favor to bury
Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani because others said that he was the best
president and he made the Philippines increase its economic status and leadership
that the late President Ferdidnand Marcos was qualified to be buried at
Libingan ng mga Bayani.
